Samantha Chou, DMD
Dr. Samantha Chou is an expert on a variety of dental and surgical treatments for complicated oral conditions. Her specialization is in prosthodontics. She uses current techniques and industry breakthroughs for complex oral and maxillofacial rehabilitation. Dr. Chou is able to perform oral surgery, dental implant placement and prosthetics, cosmetic dentistry, and full-mouth reconstruction. Her clinical training and academic research focus on advances in the following areas: bone grafting, sinus and ridge augmentations, and implant placements — all by incorporating various CAD/CAM technologies. Her research has been presented at national meetings of the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics. She is also a faculty member at the University of Chicago and a spokesperson for the American College of Prosthodontists. Currently, Dr. Chou uses comprehensive and elaborate treatment techniques, along with strategies supported by research evidence. This is done to address patients’ aesthetic concerns while improving their overall oral health. Dr. Chou’s career goals include helping patients gain a new sense of confidence and the peace of mind that a beautiful smile can give.
Devin Roberts, MD
Dr. Devin Roberts graduated from the University of Michigan in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology. He began his medical training at the Case Western medical school, graduating in 2007. Dr. Roberts then completed his anesthesia residency at the University of Chicago in 2011, during which he served as chief resident. After completing his residency, he completed a fellowship in cardiothoracic anesthesia at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. After finishing his training, he returned to the University of Chicago Medical Center as a faculty member in the DACC, where he has practiced for the last six years.
Maryam Gheisarifar, DDS, MS, FACP
Maryam Gheisarifar earned her Master of Science degree and her certificate in prosthodontics from Marquette University School of Dentistry. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Isfahan University of Medical Sciences in 2008. She is a board-certified prosthodontist, a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontics (ACP), and a member of the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics (AAFP). She has been a visiting scholar at the University of Gotheburg in Sweden and a clinical assistant professor at the University of Michigan. She is currently a clinical assistant professor at the University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry.
Throughout her career, Dr. Gheisarifar has been passionate about research, and has received several awards and grants for her work in prosthodontics and implant dentistry. In 2017, she received research grants from Dr. Stanley D. Tylman and the College of Prosthodontics Education Foundation (ACPEF). In 2020, she won the second place Tylman Research Award from AAFP for her outstanding work in the field of fixed prosthodontics.
Her work in prosthodontics has been published in several medical journals within the last ten years. Additionally, she has presented her findings at over a dozen medical conferences around the world, including at ACP and AAFP. Her expertise led her to co-authoring chapters in the textbook, “Implant Restorations: A Step-by-Step Guide,” by Dr. Carl Drago.
Apart from her valuable research work, Dr. Gheisarifar has been practicing dentistry for over a decade. She is a skilled prosthodontist who is up to date with the latest science, technology and materials in the field of prosthodontics and implant Dentistry. She does crowns, veneers, esthetic dentistry, full-mouth rehabilitations, implant placement and implant prosthetics.
Dr. Gheisarifar’s hobbies are water-color painting and reading books. She is also trilingual and can speak fluent English, Swedish and Persian.
